श्रीगुरु चरण सरोज रज, निज मन मुकुर सुधारि ।
बरनऊँ रघुवर बिमल जसु, जो दायक फल चारि ॥
Shri Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Man Mukur Sudhari
Barnaun Raghubar Bimal Jasu, Jo Dayak Phal Chari
With the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I cleanse the mirror of my mind and describe the pure glory of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life.
बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार ।
बल बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेश विकार ॥
Buddhiheen Tanu Jaanike, Sumirau Pavan Kumar
Bal Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohi, Harahu Kalesh Vikar
Knowing the limitations of my intellect, I remember the son of the Wind God. Grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove my sorrows and faults.

Anjani Putra Pavan Sut Nama
You are the messenger of Lord Rama, the abode of immense strength, and known as the son of Anjani and the Wind God.
महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी ।
कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी ॥
Mahabeer Bikram Bajrangi
Kumati Nivaar Sumati Ke Sangi
Great warrior Hanuman, with the body like a thunderbolt, you remove wicked thoughts and are a companion of good wisdom.
कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा ।
कानन कुण्डल कुंचित केसा ॥
Kanchan Baran Biraj Subesa
Kanan Kundal Kunchit Kesa
Your golden-colored body is adorned with beautiful clothes, earrings in ears and curly hair.
हाथ वज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजे ।
काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजे ॥
Hath Vajra Au Dhvaja Biraje
Kandhe Moonj Janeu Saje
You carry a thunderbolt and a flag in your hands and wear the sacred thread across your shoulder.
शंकर सुवन केसरी नंदन ।
तेज प्रताप महा जग बन्दन ॥
Shankar Suvan Kesari Nandan
Tej Pratap Maha Jag Bandan
You are the incarnation of Shiva and son of Kesari; your glory is revered throughout the world.
विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर ।
राम काज करिबे को आतुर ॥
Vidya Van Guni Ati Chatur
Ram Kaj Karibe Ko Atur
You are wise, virtuous, and highly intelligent — always eager to serve Lord Rama.
प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया ।
राम लखन सीता मन बसिया ॥
Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiya
Ram Lakhan Sita Man Basiya
You delight in listening to the deeds of the Lord and dwell in the hearts of Rama, Lakshman, and Sita.
सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा ।
बिकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा ॥
Sookshma Roop Dhari Siyahi Dikhawa
Bikat Roop Dhari Lank Jarawa
You appeared before Sita in a tiny form and took a fearsome form to burn Lanka.
भीम रूप धरि असुर संहारे ।
रामचंद्र के काज सवारे ॥
Bheem Roop Dhari Asur Sanhare
Ramchandra Ke Kaaj Savare
You assumed a terrifying form to destroy demons and completed Lord Rama’s mission.
लाय संजीवन लखन जियाए ।
श्रीरघुबीर हरषि उर लाए ॥
Laye Sanjeevan Lakhan Jiyaye
Shri Raghubeer Harashi Ur Laye
You brought the Sanjeevani herb and revived Lakshman, and Rama embraced you in joy.
रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई ।
तुम मम प्रिय भरतहि सम भाई ॥
Raghupati Keenhi Bahut Badai
Tum Mam Priya Bharat Hi Sam Bhai
Lord Rama praised you greatly, saying you are as dear to Him as His brother Bharata.
सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावैं ।
अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावैं ॥
Sahas Badan Tumharo Jas Gaave
As Kahi Shripati Kanth Lagave
Thousands of mouths sing your glory, said Lord Vishnu as He embraced you.
सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा ।
नारद सारद सहित अहीसा ॥
Sanakadik Brahmad Muneesa
Narad Sarad Sahit Aheesa
Even sages like Sanaka, Brahma, Narada, Saraswati, and Sheshnag praise your virtues.
जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते ।
कवि कोबिद कहि सके कहाँ ते ॥
Yam Kuber Digpal Jahan Te
Kavi Kobid Kahi Sake Kahan Te
Yama, Kuber, the guardians of directions, poets and scholars — none can fully describe your glory.
तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहिं कीन्हा ।
राम मिलाय राजपद दीन्हा ॥
Tum Upkar Sugreevahin Kinha
Ram Milaye Rajpad Dinha
You helped Sugriva meet Rama, who then crowned him king.
तुम्हरो मंत्र विभीषण माना ।
लंकेश्वर भए सब जग जाना ॥
Tumharo Mantra Vibhishan Mana
Lankeshwar Bhaye Sab Jag Jana
Vibhishan followed your advice and became the king of Lanka — the whole world knows this.
जुग सहस्त्र जोजन पर भानू ।
लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू ॥
Jug Sahastra Yojan Par Bhanu
Lilyo Tahi Madhur Phal Janu
You swallowed the sun — thousands of miles away — thinking it was a sweet fruit.
प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं ।
जलधि लांघि गए अचरज नाहीं ॥
Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukha Mahin
Jaladhi Langhi Gaye Acharaj Nahin
You placed Lord Rama’s ring in your mouth, leapt across the ocean — a miraculous feat.
दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते ।
सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते ॥
Durgam Kaaj Jagat Ke Jete
Sugam Anugrah Tumhare Tete
All difficult tasks in the world become easy through your grace.
राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे ।
होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे ॥
Ram Duaare Tum Rakhware
Hot Na Aagya Bin Paisare
You are the guardian of Rama’s door; no one can enter without your permission.
सब सुख लहै तुम्हारी सरना ।
तुम रक्षक काहू को डर ना ॥
Sab Sukh Lahai Tumhari Sharna
Tum Rakshak Kahu Ko Darna
All happiness is found in your refuge. With you as protector, none need fear anything.
आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै ।
तीनों लोक हांक तें कांपै ॥
Aapan Tej Samharo Aape
Teenon Lok Haank Te Kaanpe
You alone control your immense power; the three worlds tremble at your roar.
भूत पिशाच निकट नहिं आवै ।
महावीर जब नाम सुनावै ॥
Bhoot Pishaach Nikat Nahin Aave
Mahabeer Jab Naam Sunave
Ghosts and evil spirits never approach where your name is chanted.
नासै रोग हरै सब पीरा ।
जपत निरंतर हनुमत बीरा ॥
Naasai Rog Hare Sab Peera
Japat Nirantar Hanumat Beera
All ailments and pains are removed by continuous chanting of your name, O brave Hanuman.
संकट तें हनुमान छुड़ावै ।
मन क्रम बचन ध्यान जो लावै ॥
Sankat Te Hanuman Chhudave
Man Kram Bachan Dhyan Jo Lave
Hanuman frees those from troubles who think of him with mind, word, and deed.
सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा ।
तिन के काज सकल तुम साजा ॥
Sab Par Ram Tapasvee Raja
Tin Ke Kaaj Sakal Tum Saja
Lord Rama is the supreme ascetic king — you carry out all His work.
और मनोरथ जो कोई लावै ।
सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावै ॥
Aur Manorath Jo Koi Lavai
Soi Amit Jeevan Phal Pavai
Whoever seeks any wish from you, gains endless reward in this life.
चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा ।
है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा ॥
Charon Yug Partap Tumhara
Hai Prasiddha Jagat Ujiyaara
Your glory exists across all four ages and your fame illuminates the world.
साधु संत के तुम रखवारे ।
असुर निकंदन राम दुलारे ॥
Sadhu Sant Ke Tum Rakhware
Asur Nikandan Ram Dulare
You are the protector of saints and sages, destroyer of demons, and beloved of Rama.
अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता ।
अस बर दीन जानकी माता ॥
Asht Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Data
As Bar Deen Janaki Mata
You grant the eight siddhis and nine types of wealth — this boon was given to you by Mother Sita.
राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा ।
सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा ॥
Ram Rasayan Tumhare Paasa
Sada Raho Raghupati Ke Dasa
You hold the elixir of devotion to Rama; may you ever remain the servant of the Lord.
तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावै ।
जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावै ॥
Tumhare Bhajan Ram Ko Pavai
Janam Janam Ke Dukh Bisravai
By singing your praises, one reaches Lord Rama and forgets the sorrows of many lifetimes.
अंत काल रघुबर पुर जाई ।
जहाँ जन्म हरि-भक्त कहाई ॥
Ant Kaal Raghubar Pur Jai
Jahan Janma Hari Bhakt Kahai
At the end of life, one goes to Lord Rama’s abode and is born again as His devotee.
और देवता चित्त न धरई ।
हनुमत सेइ सर्ब सुख करई ॥
Aur Devta Chitt Na Dharai
Hanumat Sei Sarb Sukh Karai
One who worships Hanuman need not worship other deities, for Hanuman grants all happiness.
संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा ।
जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा ॥
Sankat Katai Mitai Sab Peera
Jo Sumirai Hanumat Balbeera
All difficulties are removed and pains vanish for those who remember the powerful Hanuman.
जय जय जय हनुमान गोसाईं ।
कृपा करहु गुरुदेव की नाईं ॥
Jai Jai Jai Hanuman Gosain
Kripa Karahu Gurudev Ki Nai
Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman! Show mercy like a true Guru.
जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई ।
छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई ॥
Jo Sat Bar Paath Kar Koi
Chhootahin Bandi Maha Sukh Hoi
Whoever recites this a hundred times is freed from bondage and attains great joy.
जो यह पढ़ै हनुमान चालीसा ।
होय सिद्धि साखी गौरीसा ॥
Jo Yah Padhe Hanuman Chalisa
Hoy Siddhi Saakhi Gaurisa
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa will achieve success — Lord Shiva himself bears witness.
तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा ।
कीजै नाथ हृदय महँ डेरा ॥
Tulsidas Sada Hari Chera
Keejai Naath Hriday Mein Dera
Tulsidas, the eternal servant of the Lord, prays that the Lord resides in his heart.
